About Travelspheric

We are Rajsannu and Paritosh — two engineers living in Munich, and two people who will rearrange almost anything for a trip.

We met young, and what we fell for first was each other’s restlessness. When we married we made a quiet decision that has shaped everything since: travel would not be the thing we did if there happened to be time left over. It would be the thing we planned around.

Rajsannu got her wanderlust from her mother. As a girl she would watch TLC India with her, the two of them pulling apart places neither had been, imagining the heat and the noise and the food. That curiosity never wore off. It simply stopped being imaginary.

Travelspheric began because friends and family kept telling us to write it all down. We were not at all sure anyone would read it. We wrote it anyway.

What you will find here: proper itineraries with real numbers, what a place actually felt like to stand in, and the parts that did not work — the overrated stop, the day we got wrong, the thing we would skip if we went again. We would much rather be useful than impressive.

We think the world gets better when you go and see it for yourself. Eat the thing you cannot pronounce. Learn ten words of the language. Talk to the person next to you.
